Yuliya Viktorovna Usova has been working in PSU since 2016. In 2014 she defended her doctoral dissertation “Political Elites of Contemporary Russia: dynamics and positioning”.

Area of Y.V. Usova’s expertise includes political elites, election process in contemporary Russia, and problems of regional political process. She is an author of more than 70 publications, including 6 monographs. Participant of numerous international, Russian, and regional conferences.

Y.V. Usova is a Deputy Chairman of Dissertational Council D 212.193.03.

Member of the Public Council at Plenipotentiary of the RF President in the North Caucasus Federal District.

She reads the following courses: Politology and Sociology. Political Studies; Political Institutes, Processes, and Technologies; Political Regionalistics.
