Andrey Aleksandrovich Sokhan, Associate Professor at the Chair of Theory and Practice of Translation.

He graduated from the Department of German and English Languages at Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University in 1996.

1999 – Candidate of Philological Sciences;

2010 – Associate Professor.

He has been working at the Chair since 1997.

Sokhan gives the following classes: Lexicology, Practical Course of the First Foreign Language Translation, Theory of Translation, Sociolinguistics, Cognitive and Discourse Practicum of the Second Foreign Language, Theory and Practice of Profession-Oriented Second Foreign Language, Practice of Specialized Translation of the Second Foreign Language, Practical Course of the First Foreign Language.
