PSLU management received gratitude for the training of interpreters of Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix

The second Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix took place from 9 to 11 October 2015 in Sochi. The race was held at the Sochi Autodrom, situated in the Olympic Park. More than 1500 volunteers were invited for the organization of the Grand-Prix.

The last year there were 13 volunteers from the Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University on the Formula 1 races, but this year their number has risen significantly. About 140 students, employees, and professors of the university worked on the Grand-Prix as volunteers.

On 12 November, the direction of Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University received a gratitude letter for the significant contribution in the training of interpreters for the participation in Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix, which took place from 30 to 11 October 2015 in Sochi. The gratitude to A.P. Gorbunov, the Rector of the university, and 43 students and professors of PSLU on behalf of V.A. Pavlychev, CEO of Fort-S ltd (Saint Petersburg) was delivered by Major General A.A. Makhleev, the Director of Security Department.

Accurate and well-coordinated actions, vigilance, reasonable initiative, and a high level of foreign languages of PSLU interpreters, who worked in FOM, TV Compound sector made a significant contribution into collective success of the world event. Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University again proved itself to be one of the leaders in the field of linguistic support of big international and all-Russian sporting events.

A positive experience of the interaction is a great possibility for future successful work.
