14.12.2015A year of literature in Russia comes to an end, and it is a high time to summarize its results. They are positive for our university. PSLU was placed 3rd among 102 participants, who represented 30 Russian regions in “Literature Heritage” competition, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
The principal goal of this competition was to raise a public interest to biography, regional historic, and literature materials about life and creative work of Russian language word artists.
At the initiative of Y.Y. Grankin, Prorector for academic policy and innovative development of the university, creative team of PSLU presented a project “M.Y. Lermontov. A Hero of Our Time Novel” which included video collection and “Following Pechorin” film, multimedia presentation, pictures of Lermontov’s sights, class project, and “What? Where? When?” quiz, based on the novel.
Experts from Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, State Literature Museum, and invited experts were on the jury panel. The award took place on 11 December, at the literature heroes ball in a famous Pashkov House in Moscow. The creative team was represented by I.B. Fedotova, Head of the Chair of Language arts and Pedagogic Technologies of Philological Education. Handing the certificate, V.S. Kaganov, deputy Minister of Education and M.N. Rusetskaya, Rector of Pushkin State Russian Language Institute highly appreciated the PSLU activity in promoting of Russian language, literature, and culture into the world educational space. High status of the event was proved by the participation of S.E. Naryshkin, Chairman of State Duma of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, N.V. Tretyak and A.A. Klimov, deputies Ministers of Education.
All the materials are uploaded into “Education in Russian” web page, they can become a good information source for Russian and foreign teachers of literature. Apart from that, regional history and literature material attracts Russian and foreign students in PSLU, development of educational tourism in the region of Caucasus Mineral Waters and formation of a positive image of PSLU in a world educational space.
