Trainee Teacher from Liege University on Tour with Students of Institute of International Service, Tourism and Foreign Languages
On April 4, 2016 students of the Institute of International Service, Tourism and Foreign Languages under direction of French language tutors from the Chair of Theoretic Linguistics and Practice of Intercultural communication Associate Professor E.V. Markaryan and O.A. Akopyan guided a tour for the guest from Belgium – trainee teacher from Liege University Maria Gorfroyd.
Maria was fascinated by the beauty of Pyatigorsk’s landscapes, and with a big interest listened to the students talking about the history of our city, its infrastructure, and resort potential. It turned out that Maria likes Russia very much and is interested by the history and culture of the country, and study Russian language. It was a big pleasure to show her the sights and historic memorials of Pyatigorsk, connected with the names of famous representatives of Russian culture.
The tour included favorite and famous places of the city: Proval Lake, Diana’s Grotto, Lermontov’s Grotto, Academic Gallery, Aeolian Harp. All tour participants took a great pleasure from this tour.
Maria will bring home the impression about picturesque resort city in the South of Russia, and students will recall a priceless experience of communication with native French speaker.
