Pyatigorsk Volunteers Returned from Educational Expeditions in Ecuador, Bahrein, Abkhazia, and regions of NCFD
The participants of international volunteer program called “Ambassadors of Russian Language in the World”, implemented by the Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language, backed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation organized an open meeting in Pyatigorsk State University.
Last month, the program participants broadened the horizons which were limited by the CIS countries boarders. The ambassadors of Russian language of PSU, who qualified from November 19 to December 3 took part in expeditions in the Kingdom of Bahrain and from November 27 to December 2 in the Republic of Ecuador. New program participants got a good experience: two volunteers went to the Republic of Moldova from 11 to 17 December.
Having become a base university of the international volunteer program in June 2016, PSU was the organizer of the educational expeditions into the North Caucasus regions and South Caucasus countries within the federal program of “Russian Language” in 2016-2020.
Follow up session in Moscow from 18 to 21 December gathered all the ambassadors of Russian language. It summarized the expedition results and work of ground institutions.
Pyatigorsk is represented by 9 ambassadors: 6 students of Pyatigorsk State University and 3 students of Russian Academy of National Economy and Government Service at the President of the Russian Federation.
Within the educational programs Russian language ambassadors gave an interesting material in Russian language about Russian culture, traditions, with a goal to make the world fall in love with Russia. The classes are for Russian speaking children, as well as for school and university students with Elementary level. The availability of the classes together with a great volunteer experience left a positive impression about Russia on all who took part in the program.
