New Grounds in Network Partnership with Institute of Applied Sciences in Sankt Pölten, Austria
01.12.2017From November 27 to 30, 2017 delegation of Pyatigorsk State University which included N.V. Papka, Associate Professor of the Chair of German studies and intercultural communication, and students V. Aleksanova, D. Kitaeva, A. Limareva, R. Mironova took part in an international conference “The 5th International Week”, organized by Institute of Applied Sciences in Sankt Pölten, Austria.
Leading lectors from 10 countries participated in the conference: Natalia Papka (Pyatigorsk State University, Russia), Villi Kumans (PXL University College, Hasselt, Belgium), Stan McDaniel Man (Universidad Europes de Valencia, Spain), Mark Kenis (PXL University College, Hasselt, Belgium), Martin Birn (Zoo Digital Dublin, Ireland), Monica Dukaczewska (Inintiative Media Warszawa, Poland), Tomas Sokol (PanMedia Bratislava, Slovakia), Hopa Mezofi (IPG Mediabrands, Austria), Duzan Jovanovich (Initiative Media Sofia, Bulgaria), Mario Lovrich (Universal McCann Zagreb, Croatia).
Lectors, delegates of the conference, read public lections and performed the reports about media landscapes and media communication of their countries.
Students actively participated in the conference work as well. Informative reports of our university’s students in English drew the attention of the sophisticated European public, which is proved by the active discussion of the reports and a full audience.
Pyatigorsk State University delegation met with the administration of Institute of Applied Sciences of Sankt Pölten: Gabriella Fernandes (executive officer of Institute of Applied Sciences), Helmut Kammerzelt (Dean of Media and Economic Department), Herald Wimmer (chairman of the master’s division of Media and Economy Department). Since 2010 Institute of Applied Sciences Sankt Pölten has been a partner university of PSU, it has been implementing semester programs of exchange education with the participation of our students.
Signing of a contract about two diplomas program (Dual-Degree-Kooperation) in “Advertisement and Public Relations “Commercial advertisement”, and “Media-und-Kommunkationsberatung” was an important result of these meetings.
Collaboration in joint scientific and research projects was discussed at these meetings as well.
