From August 9 to 24 for the ninth time, Mashuk forum took place in Pyatigorsk at the foot of the same-name mountain. Traditionally workers and students of Pyatigorsk State University take part in its organization. Access control and PSU tent were the main PSU sites which were managed by Anzhelika Ishkhanian and the volunteer center of PSU respectively. Apart from this several PSU students and volunteers became supervisors of the participants and took part in protocol and art-service of the forum.

The ninth Mashuk was a special forum. It was the first time when the Russian Federation President V.V. Putin visited the forum and appreciated a contribution of volunteers into the country and society development. PSU volunteer Alina Sheikh-Allor had the honor to accompany Vladimir Putin by the forum’s site. Together with other volunteers, she told about volunteer initiatives in the North Caucasus Federal District. You can see Alina’s feedback in a special edition of Volunteer’s Talking.

WorldSkills presentation was a fundamental task of PSU tent as one of the most interesting alternative sites according to the forum’s participants. Being one of 15 resource centers of volunteers’ recruitment for the 45th championship in professional mastership and standards WorldSkills in Kazan in 2019 and the only one center in the North Caucasus Federal District PSU Volunteer Center organized a championship registration spot. All the tent guests received gifts from the championship organizational committee. They also had a possibility to visit a virtual space of Kazan Expo.

During the second, creative part, PSU tent organized a competition for the most original photo which reflects WorldSkills objectives.
