On October 25, 2018, the Federation Council organized an inter-parliamentary forum on the collaboration development problems between Russia and Tajikistan.
PSU representatives I.B. Fedotova, head of the Chair of Literature and Pedagogic Technologies, and N.A. Orlova, Assistant Professor at the Chair of Literature and Pedagogic Technologies, took part in the round-table devoted to “State and Prospects of Humanitarian Interaction of Russia and Tajikistan” as well as in the plenary meeting of the forum.
The representatives of Pyatigorsk State University informed about the positive experience of its collaboration with Tajikistan institutions and pointed out the perspective vectors of interaction in the field of education and Russian language and culture promotion, as well as strategies of development of international ties with Tajikistan.
V.I. Matvienko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation spoke at the plenary meeting, underlining the significance of Russian and Tajikistan collaboration. A welcoming letter from the President of the Russian Federation was read out.
Pyatigorsk State University makes a considerable contribution to the inter-regional and inter-institutional collaboration of Russian and Tajikistan. It includes advanced training for Russian language and literature teachers in Kulob (2014) and assistance in exams organization for the candidates who are going to enter Russian institutes (2018) as well as the realization of a youth project called “Ambassadors of the Russian Language in the World” (2015-2017).
