Invited by the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Professor N.V. Baryshnikov, head of the Chair of Intercultural Communication, Linguodidactics, Pedagogic Technologies of Education, read lectures on intercultural communication for students and masters at the Institute of East Slavonic Studies as a visiting professor.
“Visiting professor, - he says. – It is very honorable and prestigious, as well as very responsible.
I am glad that my honorary mission has been completed. It seems that everyone from lector to students enjoyed the communication. Actually, my classes were not lectures as such; a significant amount of time was devoted to the interactive forms of educations. The students studied the art of intercultural communication by means of live practice and intercultural interaction.
My work was organized perfectly, everything was thought out to every detail, and the conditions for work and leisure were excellent.”
Apart from lectures, two weeks of the visit to Olsztyn were filled with professional official and non-official communication.
Interesting joint projects were discussed and new vectors of further development between chairs and universities as a whole were determined. The main target remains the same: annual international scientific and methodic symposium “Lempert Readings”.
Professor Ivona-Anna Ndiaye, Doctor of Philological Science, Head of the Chair of East Slavonic Literature took part in some Lempert Readings, including XX Lempert Readings.
It is expected that by 2020 the number of Lempert Readings participants from University of Warmia and Mazury will broaden.
Joanna Orzechowska, director of Institute of East Slavonic Linguistics, promised to take part in the Readings.
Nikolay Vasilyevich Baryshnikov warmly thanks polish colleagues for collaboration.
