Virtual Travel around Russia
08.04.2020On April 8, 2020, the Center of International Education started classes on Russian country studies. In conditions of the educational activity transition to the on-line mode, it was a chance to show innovative possibilities of distant forms of training. Foreign students of the Center of International Education and students of the Preparatory Department of PSU, supervised by N.A. Orlova, Associate Professor at the Chair of Literature and Pedagogic Technologies of Philological Education, took a virtual journey around the State Russian Museum, visited Marble Palace, Summer Garden, and a House of Peter I.
After the tour, an on-line round-table took place, where students learned about Old Russian paintings and arts and decorative-applied art. The class became a part of the creative workshop “Vdokhnovenie” (inspiration), headed by Associate Professor N.A. Orlova.
The classes like this are not only an efficient source of the social-cultural, country study competencies formation but also broaden horizons, bring joy, and unite students in conditions of a difficult sanitary and epidemiological situation.
