Natalia Vitalievna Papka began her career in 1998 at PSLU after she graduated from the Department of German Language. In 2006, she became an Associate Professor of the Chair of German Studies and Intercultural Communication. While working at the university she gained a reputation as a high-qualified expert, who practices the German language and methods of its teaching.
N.V. Papka is an author of more than 20 works, published in local, regional, federal, and international journals. In 2011, she published a monograph titled “German Language World Map (on the example of German and English languages)”.

In 2017, N.V. Papka directed the publication of a monograph titled “Historical Essay about Germans in the Caucasus Mineral Waters.”

She coordinates the cooperation with the Institute of Applied Sciences in Sankt Polten, Austria, in exchange and semester study programs, as well as a double diploma master’s program in Public Relations.

She coordinates the cooperation with F. Schiller University Jena, Germany, in exchange and semester programs on Linguistic (Theory and Practice of Intercultural Communication).

N.V. Papka is an active and constant member of the Goethe Institute, in 2011 she was a scholarship holder of Goethe Institute in “Leipzig und München: zwei Freistaaten” program and in 2015 in “Hamburg heute” program (Germany).

N.V. Papka is the head of “Dialog.de” youth club, coordinator of educational and practice-oriented projects of the chair; “Early German Language Education” together with Pyatigorsk kinder-gardens, “Learning is interesting!” with Pyatigorsk and Lermontov schools.

Days of Germany in Pyatigorsk project is supervised by N.V. Papka. This international project has been being implemented in PSU since 2010. In 2012, 2014, 2017 this project was granted by the Embassy of Germany in the Russian Federation. In 2015 N.V. Papka visited the residence of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Germany in the Russian Federation Mr. Rudiger von Fritch and took part in a Big Ekaterina Ball (Tsaritsyno, Moscow).

She coordinates the collaboration of the Institute of Applied Sciences in Sankt Pölten, Austria (a program of exchange semester education and double diplomas program of the master’s studies “PR and Public Affairs”).

Since 2017 N.V. Papka has been heading Pyatigorsk German City National and Cultural Autonomy “Quelle.”
