Kaziyeva Almira Magometovna
In 1973 she enrolled in A.A. Zhdanov Leningrad State University. In 1979 she graduated from K.M. Berberov Kabardino-Balkarian State University, with a specialty of a philologist, Russian language and literature teacher.
From 1982 to 1989 she worked as a lecturer at the Chair of Russian Language at Pyatigorsk State Pharmaceutical Institute.
Since 1994 she has been working at Pyatigorsk State University.
In 1998 she defended her candidate thesis on “Genre Peculiarities of Kaisyn Kuliev Narrative Poems” at U.D. Aliev Karachay-Cherkessian State Pedagogic University, majoring in 10.01.02 Literature of the Russian Federation Peoples. The literature of the North Caucasus Peoples.
In 2004 she defended her doctoral thesis on “The North Caucasus Poetry in XVIII-XX Centuries: Ethnocultural Factors and Context” at K.M. Berberov Kabardino-Balkarian State University in 10.01.02 Literature of the Russian Federation Peoples. The literature of the North Caucasus Peoples.
In 2005 A.M. Kazieva received a scientific rank of Professor.
Area of A.M. Kazieva’s expertise includes literature of the Russian Federation peoples, literature of the North Caucasus Peoples, theory of linguistic contacts and bi(poly)-, translingualism (including literary), Russian language in European countries and the world, problems of study and preservation of epic texts, problems of Eurasianism and others.
Professor A.M. Kazieva collaborates with a number of international scientific centers (Georgia, Poland, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Croatia, Turkey, Iran, etc).
She is the supervisor and expert in many research projects of regional, Russian, and international levels.
A.M. Kazieva is an author of more than 300 scientific articles, monographs, expert reports, academic aids, programs, etc.
Participation in editorial boards of Russian and foreign journals.
