Aleksandr Vladimirovich Alfiorov, Professor of the Chair of French Philology and Intercultural Communication. Head of the Center of Interactional Linguistics and Institutional Communication of PSU. Doctor of Philological Sciences.
He has been working in PSPIFL - PSLU - PSU since 1980. He worked abroad in 1978-1979 as an interpreter in the Algerian Republic, in France (1981); as a Russian language teacher in France (1984-1986). In 1992 he had an internship in the Commercial and Industrial Chamber of Paris (CCIP) in "Teacher of the business French Language".
During his French practice he determined his area of expertise as the linguistics of oral speech (interactional linguistics), which was actively developed by him on postgraduate studied of Moscow State Pedagogic University (1987-1990) under the supervision of Professor V.G. Gak, and later became a doctoral dissertation, defended in 2001 (Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow).
From 1995 to 2013 he headed the Chair of French Language and Interactional Linguistics of PSLU. Since 2001 he has been heading the postgraduate studies, scientific consultant of doctoral dissertations.
A.V. Alfiorov is awarded Honorary certificates of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Education of Stavropol Krai, and Duma of Stavropol Krai, as well as PSU Rectorate.
