Irina Aleksandrovna Kobyakova, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor at the Chair of Spanish Studies and International Communication.

She has been working at the chair since 1995.

I.A. Kobyakova gives the following classes:

1) Ancient Languages and Cultures

2) Theoretic Phonetics

3) Practical Course of the First Foreign Language

4) Practicum of Career-Guided Speech in the First Foreign Language

5) Comparative study of non-verbal communication

Area of expertise: corpus-based and experimental studies in linguistics, complex study of language, speech, text, sense-forming in a literary text, linguo-cognitive studies.

Professional achievements:

- In 1999 she published her academic aid titled “To Entrant – 99 (how to prepare for a preliminary examination in the Spanish language)”;

- In 2000 she published her academic aid titled “To Entrant – 2000 (how to prepare for a preliminary examination in the Spanish language)”;

- In 2000 she published her academic aid in the Latin language for extramural students (co-author A.A. Melnichuk);

- In 2000 she won a grant from Spanish Agency for International Collaboration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain for education at the courses for tutors of Spanish as a foreign language;

- In 2000-2001 she had a year internship in Salamanca University (Spain);

- In 2000 she successfully passed the DELE qualification exam – C2 level;

- In 2001 she completed a course at Cervantes Institute in Moscow as an Examiner of Spanish as a foreign language;

- In 2004 she defended her candidate thesis – Typological Aspect of Speech Prosody, Directed to Children (experimental phonetic study on the basis of Russian and Spanish Languages), and received a degree of the Candidate of Philological Sciences in 10.02.20 Comparative, historic, typological and contrastive linguistics;

- In 2005 she published an academic aid – Lingua Latina. (Textbook in the Latin Language for the institution, gymnasium school, and lyceum students) – For humanitarian institution students who study the Latin language and ancient culture.
