Svetlana Nikolaevna Gikis, Candidate of Pedagogic Sciences (10.00.01 Journalism), Assistant Professor at the Chair of Conflict Resolution Studies, Public Relations and Journalism at Institute of International Relations, Head of 42.03.02  Journalism (International Journalism), a chief editor of student newspaper Modus Operandi, head of Media Workshop student club.

The area of her expertise includes journalism of newsmaking events, media agenda, media planning, and media projecting, concepts of radio and television programs' production, infographics in Russian and foreign media, advertisement technologies, integrated marketing communications, positioning, and promotion of services. S.V. Gikis is an author of more than 60 scientific works.
