Krat Marina Vadimovna
Since 2001 M.V. Krat graduated from the Philologic Department majoring in Teaching of the Russian Language and Literature, and French Language (excellence).
In 2005 she defended her Candidate thesis “Structural and Semantic Organization of the Infinitive and Gerund Constructions of Purpose in Modern English” and received a degree of the Candidate of Philological Sciences (dated December 23, 2005).
From 2001 to 2013 she worked at the Chair of Foreign Languages of the Philological Department as a coordinator of international relations of the Higher School of Language Arts, European and Oriental Languages. She organized student internships in London (Stanton School of English language school): she headed 3 language internships for the students in 2010, 2012, and 2013. She took part in the organization of the formation of the Center of Polish Language and Culture. Headed an English Club at the Chair of Foreign Languages (organization of Olympiads in English language, competitions, and cultural studies events).
From March 23 to April 3, 2009, she had 40 hours of the advanced training in Stanton School of English (London, United Kingdom).
On May 20, 2009, she became an Assistant Professor at the Chair of Foreign Languages.
Since 2013 she has been working at the Chair of Professional-Oriented English Language of the Higher School of Political Administration and Innovative Management.
Area of expertise: cognitive linguistics, impersonal verb forms in Modern English, French borrowings in the English language, structural and semantic peculiarities of a political and business discourse, blending in the Modern English. Author of the methodic aids in the practice of the written speech, text interpretation (English language).
