“Pushkin Institute” Center of Russian Language and Culture in Portugal Takes Part in Christmas Celebrations
On December 14, 2018, “Pushkin Institute” Center of Russian Language and Culture at Piaget Institute (Viseu, Portugal) took part in Christmas celebrations in schools Escola Básica 1º Ciclo de Casal de Mundão и Escola Básica 1º Ciclo de Travassós de Cima.
On a last academic day of the first cycle, Portuguese schools celebrate a big and long-awaited Christmas holiday. Basic and additional programs teachers prepare a big concert for the students. Children demonstrate their musical, sports, art, and other skills to spectators. As well as school students who study Russian language.
Children prepared creative sketches about who is Snegurochka, Russian festive dishes and other Christmas traditions under the direction of Diana Merinova, II year master’s student, lector of Russian as a foreign language. Her students put on the costumes of Christmas-tree decorations and sang a song “A Little Fir Was Born in the Forest” and read New Year poems. Everyone could meet beloved by all Ded Moroz as well! Students and their parents felt a great festive atmosphere and were impressed by a sight!
