PSU Representatives Take Part in the Conference on “Additional Education of Adults: International Trends and National Priorities” (Minsk, Belarus)

Fedotova, Doctor of Pedagogic Sciences, Head of the Chair of Literature and Pedagogic Technologies of Philological Education at ITAM, Director of the Center of International Education, and N.A. Orlova, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor at the Chair of Literature and Pedagogic Technologies of Philological Education, Deputy Director of the Center of International Education took part in an international conference in Minsk, Belarus on “Additional Education of Adults: International Trends and National Priorities”. The conference organized by the Institute of Additional Training and Retraining at BSPU was devoted to the 105th anniversary of Maksim Tank Belarus State Pedagogic University. PSU delegates read and handed out a greeting address of PSU Rector Professor A.P. Gorbunov to BSPU administration.
The program of the conference included a plenary meeting, workshops, and panel discussion, which focused on the search for new forms of additional education of adults.
PSU delegates generalized and presented their experience of additional training and retraining of Russian as a foreign language, gained while organizing additional training courses in the Chechen Republic, Tajikistan, Spain, Portugal, Poland; the materials are published in the collected papers on the results of the international scientific and practical conference.
We would like to thank the Institute of Additional Training and Retraining at BSPU (Directed by I.V. Shestitko) for a high level of the conference organization, and for a friendly atmosphere and mutual understanding.
The participation in the conference enriched PSU representatives with new ideas and made a way for international cooperation enhancement.
